Delimit Screen Shots

Main Application Screen
Items shown: Menu, toolbar, edit bar, an opened file (10 columns by 1,000,000 rows large) split into two views/panes by a horizontal splitter bar, and at the bottom a status bar. Also shown are a couple of bookmarked cells (cells outlined in dark blue), a couple of edited cells (cells with small pencils in them) and the currently selected cell (cell outlined in orange). The edit bar, right below the toolbar, is showing the content of the currently selected cell. The status bar currently displays coordinates in "column : row" format, this can be changed to "row : column" format in settings.

New Parsing Rule
Allows the user to create and add parsing rules. When a file is opened for the first time Delimit will automatically try to parse the file using a list of available rules. The rules can be enabled or disabled, and the list reordered defining in which order should the rules be tested for a match. This screen shows the different types of available parsing rules, as well as an option to associate a rule with a particular file mask (rule will be tested only for those files). You can also specify whether or not to skip rows at the top of the file or the bottom. And optionally to treat consecutive delimiters as one or to handle text qualifiers.

File Extract/Export
Delimit allows the user to extract any part of the file as a subset of columns and rows. Columns can be specified by name or by position and they can be reordered or repeated. Specific rows can be extracted either as a range and/or based on row content and user defined expressions. A different delimitation rule can be used for the result file too. Extract/Export settings can be saved for future reuse.

Selecting Columns to Extract
Instead of typing in the columns to extract the user can also select them in the order as required.

File Splitting
Delimit allows you to split up a large tabular data file, vertically or horizontally, into smaller parts. You can split-up the entire file or only a part of it by specifying a range. You can define how many rows or columns should each part have, and optionally include a certain number of rows or columns to the start of each file part.  This screen also allows you to define how to name and number each of the file parts.

File Joining
With Delimit you can join many smaller tabular data files, either vertically or horizontally, into one larger one. You can do that by either selecting the files you wish to join or specifying a file mask rule. You can also choose not to join a certain number of leading rows or columns from each file.

Same as above but instead of selecting files, potentially from different folders, join is done on files residing in a single folder and using a file mask.
